Analyzing Your Manager

I happen to read this article on Netscape.

It basically tells you how one can lick manager's ass to make him/her happy. Sure enough it is written by a manager like pointy haired boss.

Here are some of the suggestions...
- Help him solve his problems and you will become a valued ally.
- Go out of your way to help make your boss shine.
- Show your boss you're on his side, help make him and the department look good.

Article also says that the biggest reason people switching the job is their manager. Don't you think these suggestions should be given to the managers instead?
